The AMHS badminton team captured the Blossom Valley Athletic League Championship this spring, finishing the season with an impressive 11- game winning streak. The program has several league championships to their name and the strength of the program continues to grow.
Coach Rodriguez ’13 has four years of experience coaching badminton. She has been the head coach of the Monarchs for three years. During high school, she played four years of badminton, serving as captain of the team her last two seasons. During her first season as the head coach in 2016, Coach Rodriguez led the Monarchs in taking home the BVAL Championship and the team ended the season with an impressive league record of 15-1. This year, the team captured the BVAL Championship, while remaining undefeated on the home court. The Monarchs also qualified students to represent the school in all five categories at the division finals.
