The men’s basketball program has won an impressive 11 WCAL, 11 CCS, six NorCal, and two CIF State championships during the school’s history. Aaron Gordon ’13, of the Orlando Magic, highlights a long line of star players who have succeeded at the professional level.
Head Coach: Tim Kennedy
Coach Kennedy has 13 years of coaching experience. For the past nine years, he has coached the Monarchs, leading the men’s basketball program to four WCAL Championships, six CCS championships, four NorCal championships, and two state championships. While in high school, he was a four-year varsity starter and was the first WCAL player to be named Player of the Year in consecutive seasons. Coach Kennedy earned a scholarship to Loyola Marymount University and eventually spent six years overseas playing in Portugal and Spain, as well as for the Irish National Team.
