The men’s golf team is consistently ranked one of the best in the league. Last year, the program won its first state championship. This year, members of the team advanced to represent the school at the WCAL, CCS, NorCal and state levels.
Coach Asunolo ’85 was a two-sport athlete in high school and returned to campus where he has been coaching students for 25 years. In 2017, he was part of the coaching staff for the AMHS men’s golf team, which won the state championship. In addition to this, Coach Asunolo has been the head coach of the junior varsity women’s golf team for the past 13 years. When he is not on the golf course, Coach Asunolo actively supports the AMHS community by serving as a Eucharistic Minister and participating in school retreats and immersion trips.
