Shepherd is an organization within Archbishop Mitty High School’s Campus Ministry program that provides a safe environment where students can explore and discuss the difficult issues related to social inclusion in the community, especially in regards to sexual identity. Shepherd recognizes that many students cope with stress, fear, harassment, and discrimination due to stereotypes that depersonalize the individual. Shepherd, which meets on a weekly basis, strives to rid the community of prejudice, not through condemnation, but through education.
