The AMHS Romero Institute

Each third week in June, Archbishop Mitty High School hosts The Archbishop Mitty Romero Institute.  Named after the late Archbishop Oscar Romero, the program focuses on: higher education, Latino culture and social justice issues.  Applicants for the program are selected based on principal recommendations, academic record and extracurricular involvement.  It is for rising 8th grade students from private and public middle schools.

The Romero Student can expect to:

  • Develop friendships through a mentorship program
  • Tour local colleges and universities
  • Attend AMHS musicals and plays
  • Embrace Latino culture
  • Focus on social justice issues
  • Visit Great America
  • Have fun!
